Sasha’s dog, Winston, is not just an adorable pet
but also, a metaphor; Winston proves that one
can learn something from the most unexpected
of sources, events, or sentient beings.”

I gave the book to my boys to read, and they loved it. We discussed the topics of fear, bullying, and being nice to others. I'm 40 years-old and children books still play an important part in my reading experiences. I highly recommend this book.
1998-2013
The real Winston was a loveable and friendly dog. It is thought that he was born sometime in 1998. Winston was adopted from a local Georgia shelter and instantly stole the hearts of the family that loved him dearly.
His favorite toy was a red rubber ball, and he loved to watch it bounce down the stairs and then chase after it. He loved people and other dogs and could often be found outside running around with a smile on his face.
His mother was a Lab, and it is believed that his father was a Beagle. Winston loved to eat, and many called him “fat-boy.”
